How to import them
Tap the downloaded file. Do not look for it in the app. Sports Timer asks for no access to your storage, which is good for your privacy but means its own file browser cannot see your Downloads folder. Opening the file from outside hands it to the app the other way round, and that works without any permission.
-
Download the file on your phone
Use the button above. It lands in your Downloads.
-
Tap it
In your browser's download list, or in the Files app. Android asks which app should open it; choose Sports Timer.
-
Choose what to import
Sports Timer shows every workout in the file with a tick box, and next to each one the preset slot it will land in. Untick anything you do not want.
-
Press Ok
Swipe left on the main screen and the workouts are in your preset row.
This replaces presets 1 to 6. The import screen tells you exactly which slot each workout takes. If you have your own sessions in those slots, export them first with Settings → Export presets & settings, or untick the ones you do not want and only take what you need.
Build your own instead
None of these is special: every one is a handful of blocks you could tap in yourself in a couple of minutes. The circuit is the interesting one, because it shows what nesting laps gets you:
| Block | Type | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Prepare | Rest | 0:15 |
| Station | Action | 0:45 |
| Change | Rest | 0:15 |
| Laps | Laps | 6 — around Station and Change |
| Round rest | Rest | 1:00 |
| Laps | Laps | 3 — around the whole block above |
Three rounds of six stations, from six rows. How to use explains the editor.
Sharing your own
Made something good? Settings → Mail / export presets & settings turns
your presets into a .tmr file and attaches it to an e-mail. Send it to a
training partner and they tap the attachment to load it. If you would like a session added
to this page, send it over.
